Some results of the BBSB exhibition of options

During 2002 the Government worked with key stakeholders to develop a range of options based on three years of data collection and assessment in the bioregion. In October 2002 the community was invited to comment on these options, none of which necessarily represents the preferred position of the NSW Government.

In response to the exhibition the government received 1712 submissions. These submissions were analysed and the results forwarded to government. The analysis shows a summary on the basis of the preferred option identified (A-F, WCA, BRUS or no preference), preferred submission type (form submission, letter or major submission), broad category of response (conservationist, timber industry, aboriginal or other) and whether the submission was from within or outside the Brigalow Belt South Bioregion.

Resource and Conservation Assessment Council (RACAC)
June 1995 - Dec 2003

RACAC presided over the NSW Forest Agreements program
from June 1995 to December 2003.

For continuity this site remains under the name RACAC.
However, project management and monitoring of the
NSW Forest Agreements are now provided by the Resource
and Conservation Unit
of the
NSW Department of Environment
and Climate Change.
