A comprehensive literature review of documents was undertaken which would provide useful information for social and economic studies. Particular attention was given to documents published in the last five years. The review sourced a wide range of documents from industry groups, government agencies, conservation groups, unions, libraries and other sources.
The survey concentrated on reports and documents that contained relevant information on economic methodologies used in forest evaluations, micro-economic implications of forest industry declines and social and economic impact studies.
Over one hundred documents were identified and summaries of the major reports were produced. This review has proved useful in the IAP process and may be used as reference material for further studies during the CRA process.
